I Am A Black Woman

I am a black woman.  I am strong, intelligent and independent.  But, I also desire to be loved. I am a black woman. I am beautiful, loving and caring.  But, I also want to be treated with respect.  I am a black woman.  I am fearless, a nurturer and selfless. But, I also want to be reminded of how remarkable I am.  I am a black woman.  A woman of color, a hardworking, soft and dreaming woman.  I want to and need to be treated fairly. I want to and need to feel protected and safe. I am a black woman, a black wife, a black mother and want to see my black family succeed!  I am a black woman.  Do my curves, hips, braids and stylish clothes bother you?
